Forecast of Base Settlement Progress Based on In-Situ Data
The basic methodology to check the correctness of a geotechnical solution adopted is the monitoring of a geotechnical situation, in particular, geodetic observations of settlement progress in buildings and structures, their analysis and forecasting of further behavior.
Therefore, it is of outmost interest to develop a method of long-term settlement forecast for buildings located in the system of geotechnical barriers. The basic data for this forecast are short-term observations of settlement progress at the construction or early operation stages.
The results of such a forecast are used to evaluate the correctness of a solution adopted or the need for additional measures to improve deformation behavior of the building.
