Dubai – the most incredible city on the planet, has become a source of inspiration for architects from all around the world. Several unique buildings are built here every year that gradually transforms the skyline of the capital of the Arab world into a bizarre picture reflecting all the most modern construction. And soon a new architectural masterpiece will appear in this quaint place, attracting the attention of tourists and local residents.

Architectural firm Amorpho­ustudio unveiled the innovative project for Dubai, designed on the basis of the analysis of the region environmental characteristics. The new mixed-use development meets the style of the ultramodern metropolis, but one of the main tasks of architects was the integration into the complex of the most advanced sustainable technologies.

Since the main attention was paid to the design of the environmental component of the complex, and the visual solution of the vertical structures was adjusted to the peculiarities of the local climate. The architects were inspired by the idea of creating a kind of a fairy oasis in the desert. The innovative approach allowed creating a complex of unique shape with an extensive recreational zone, but the main feature of the project became the facade with natural ventilation. Its numerous holes, located on the entire surface, resemble “pores”.

The size and configuration of the envelope openings were calculated using special software whereby the complex model was developed backing with the voronoi diagram. The “delicate” inclusions also decorate the roofs of low-rise buildings, visually uniting all the buildings of the complex.
