Shenzhen’s Energy
Shenzhen is a large skyscraper-built city located in the south of the People’s Republic of China in the province of Guangdong and bordering Hong Kong. Today, Shenzhen is one of the most prosperous and dynamically developing metropolitan areas of China, the largest one in terms of exports, attracting investment and new technologies.
Not so long ago, in the late 1970s, only 30 thousand people lived in the Chinese village of Shenzhen, who were mainly engaged in salt mining and fishing. The only advantage of the village was only a convenient location in the delta of the Pearl River.
Nowadays Shenzhen is a city with a population of 11 million people, which has become the recognized economic leader of China. Apple phones are made there, as well as factories of such large companies as Samsung, ZTE, Lenovo and Huawei are located. It is one of the most technologically advanced cities in the world with a developed production industry and innovative ecosystem aimed at reproducing and creating new technologies. Therefore, it is very important for the city that its progressive ideas and aspirations for the future, as well as a careful attitude to nature were also reflected in architectural terms.
