Emergency Lighting for Entertaining Facilities
On the safety of people coming to the theater, sports arena or in any other dwelling or public institution, must take care specialists. In case of emergency situation to help a person comes to the specialized equipment, which will show the way for safe evacuation. On the emergency lighting equipment facilities says Vyacheslav Eliseev, technical director of the “Bely Svet 2000”, occupying more than 10 years a leading position amongst the major domestic manufacturers of lighting equipment.
Among our objects surrendered into operation in 2011 are many buildings in different regions of Russia and the CIS. One of the most interesting projects was the Belarusian State Circus in Minsk. This building was built in 1917 and was intended for 1666 seats. This unique facility is located in the heart of the capital of Belarus, on the main street - Prospect Nezavisimosti. The building is adapted to show all the genres of circus and variety of concerts, sporting events and housing of any animal species. The project of creating a centralized system of emergency lighting at the Belarusian State Circus that had been developed by the group of top companies was completed in March 2011.
One of the difficulties was that the project we have come very late and part of the engineering systems, including electrical, supply cables, and all group lines accesses had already been routed. We had to integrate our system into the partially implemented project, which also was designed for the equipment of one of the leading European manufacturers, which has its own specifics. We had to investigate several technical solutions, and one of them finally matched the project. After that, its implementation was not so complicated.
The second problem was also serious enough - we need to integrate into the control system of the building general lighting. The point was in maximum preservation of the historical appearance of the building after the reconstruction, and we had to use working lamps for emergency lighting as well. In addition, emergency lighting should be integrated into building control system and fire alarm system that should have been conducted from two points of the building. Moreover, the equipment should be integrated on the base of the relay, not the digital interface. Thus, the automatic control system is to control the groups of working as well as emergency lightings, send and receive more information about the health of the system or the presence of an accident on its sites, etc. For us, this is the first project of such complexity category, and the work was interesting, though difficult.
