Loads Numerical Simulation
Modern methodology of numerical simulation of loads and effects, and stress-strain state and stability of high-rise buildings and complexes.
Design and construction of high-rise buildings and complexes of “modern” architectural forms and designs in Russia started about twenty years ago, in the absence of national regulatory methodologies and experience, and therefore construction was not secured properly with scientific and technical support. The consequence of this, were design calculations errors caused by failure design-basis justification. Currently, as illustrates international and domestic experience, reflected in numerous conference papers, publications and monographs, the problem of technotronic security of such facilities still remains a significant and rather sci-tech.
The article presents a brief overview of the most urgent issues of mathematic simulation of the behavior of high-rise buildings and complexes considered and solved in recent years by the specialists of CJSC Research, Development, and Engineering center of Stadyo (Stadyo R&D) and the Scientific and Educational Center of unique computer modeling of buildings, structures and facilities of the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU). In the articles, which have been prepared for publication in the next of the magazine, some of these challenges are addressed in more detail.
