Pride of Place
The Mercury City Tower, which is being erected at Plot 14 of the Moscow International Business Center (Moscow City), will reach 380 m (including the spire) making it the second-tallest building throughout the MIBC. The general contractor for this development, RASEN STROY , is known worldwide for implementation of advanced building and design technologies. The tower will have 72 floors above ground housing offices, apartments, retail and recreational facilities; and 5 underground levels containing car park and engineering network.
PERI has appeared to be a reliable formwork partner, which proposed the RCS P wind shield device for this particular building. This system ensures not only safety of workers, but also allows proceeding works, notwithstanding weather conditions and at any height. The operating principle of this equipment is simple and unique: as the building is growing, the RCS P protective panels are being delivered to a certain bay. Along with floor plate concreting, the special anchors are embedded to be connected with steel beams featuring guiding grooves, which allow further hoisting of the whole system by crane or hydraulic pump.
