PERI: Out-of-Box Solutions for Tall Buildings

The Iset Tower is a 52-storey skyscraper in the Yekaterinburg-City business district. The engineering proposal of the project was developed in conjunction with the client and technicians from PERI-Russia and PERI-Germany.

The walls of the core were designed separately of the ceilings, the walls reinforcement was carried out from the platforms at level +1, while the formwork located on the ground level not hinder the process. To guarantee the safe working mode the platform level +1 was provided with a high security fence along the contour.

For the first time in Russia they had used PERI ACS-S self-climbing formwork system there were 6 individual platforms for every elevator shaft with an independent hydraulic system.

At the level of the 28th floor of the building there was a change of the geometry of the core walls of the structure. All the platforms successfully overcame the set-backs formed by the changing thickness of walls. Besides that according to the technology at this level three separate elevator platforms were supposed to be incorporated into a single one to form a newly shaped staircase.
