Pas de Deux over Biscayne Bay
Terra Group, Miami’s leading real-estate development company is constructing a residential complex Grove at Grand Bay designed by renowned Danish architectural firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), which promises to become a new architectural landmark of South Florida.
The Grove at Grand Bay residences, located on the former site of the Grand Bay Hotel and just minutes from key areas including the airport, downtown Miami and Coral Gables shall leave an imprint on the South Bayshore Drive community, redefining luxury and breathing new life into Coconut Grove for decades to come. Due to the close proximity of the University of Miami, as well as the presence of art galleries and shopping and entertainment facilities, this neighbourhood is rather populous. Also nearby are located schools, hospitals, shopping centers and many points of attractions, as are Adrienne Arsht Center, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and the Barnacle Historic State Park.
Undoubtedly, condominium Grove at Grand Bay will be one of the best architectural seesites located on the prestigious Miami South Bayshore Drive, and create a whole new idea of luxury housing. The construction is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2012, completing end of 2014. Upon completion, the project seeks LEED Certification Silver designation, the first such structure in Coconut Grove.

The twin glass towers, in a pas de deux appear to float over a Raymond Jungles’ lush, canopied oasis, and spin in the direction of the most amazing views available as the tower rises in elevation, beckoning to the azure waters of Biscayne Bay and beyond.
Inspired by the natural beauty of the area of Coconut Grove, the famous Danish architect, honoree and winner of numerous prestigious awards and honors, Bjarke Ingels reinterpreted the concept of a high-rise condominium with all his courage and ingenuity that have made him one of the most talked architects of his generation. The central challenge of the site is to create two condominium towers that do not block each others’ views, creating a front and back building. By compacting the footprint of the south tower and twisting of buildings by 38 degrees, the north tower is offerred views straight out to the water.
