Passive Fire Protection

Complex fire protection of high-rise buildings is, perhaps, the most technically challenging thing. Its solution requires a combination of various competences and responsibility of all the participants at all the stages of project realization. The building owner, architectural firm, design, general contractor, subcontractor, assembly and maintenance organizations – everyone must operate within the framework of a unified concept and ideology of efficiency and safety.

Safe maintenance of a high-rise building is embedded in the project as early as the design stage through the application of fireproof construction materials, special engineering equipment and technical means, which have undergone real tests and, needless to say, have all the required conformance certificates. Organizations involved in the project must also have a license for design, assembly, balancing, operation and maintenance of fire-fighting systems and, moreover, have experience and understanding of specific nature of tall buildings fire protection.

Fire protection of a project is also provided through complex spaceplanning solutions and design features of the building, installation of systems of automatic fire-alarm, fire suppression, smoke exhaust and pressurization, which localize a potential fire and allow for a safe evacuation of people.

Organizational and technical measures involve the establishment onsite of a special service, which monitors fire prevention discipline in the building, maintenance and technical condition of fire protection systems.
