The erection of tall buildings stakes on a time reduction, considerable reduction of weight, perfection of concrete quality for skyscrapers. It requires applying new technologies and materials. In accordance with the world community’s opinion, one of the most prospective products is a fibre being a concrete addition. Builders watch a composite reinforcement which would permit to considerably reduce a weight of the concrete structure.
An erection of so named “Moscow Manhattan” or the tall building complex “Moscow-City” is continued in the capital. Now skyscrapers are an oasis in the centre of the capital, but it is possible that in 20-30 years Moscow would resemble New York, but in exclusive modification.
It seems that a fantasy of designers and architects world-wide doesn’t know limits: skyscrapers obtain more fanciful shapes. For example, in the Brazilian town of Curitiba a residential house “Suite Vollard” was put into operation in 2004; its flats turn round the building axis in 360°. Thereby a dynamic era in the architecture was started. Maybe, skyscrapers would learn not only turn around but fly too.
It is natural that innovatory projects of architects require a rapid perfection of technologies for tall buildings too. A period of skyscraper erection reduces. Recently a hotel of 30-storeis was built only for 15 days in China. But an erection speed isn’t a unique requirement at this time of day. Material quality, low weight, durability, reliability, environmental activity resistance, life duration and endurance don’t have less importance. Polymeric composite materials on the base of carbon fibre completely meet there characteristics.
