KONE Lifting Capacity
For faster, smoother manpower people flow for over 40 years at construction sites have been used Exterior hoists. To improve safety and efficiency, and speed up construction work, KONE has developed an advanced self-climbing elevator, the KONE JumpLift. The KONE JumpLift uses a temporary machine room that is moved upward as construction progresses.
This technology largely supersedes the traditional exterior hoisting system and brings real value to the construction phase of the project. The KONE JumpLift solution increases the safety of the job site, improves efficiency, and speeds up the construction work. Using the KONE JumpLift solution will give builders a competitive advantage when tendering for projects with lower costs and faster delivery. The KONE JumpLift uses the building’s permanent hoistway for construction time use, putting completed floors into action while allowing the installation to continue above. The KONE JumpLift has a temporary fixed machine room that moves upward (‘jumps’) in the hoistway as the construction work progresses.
As soon as the permanent elevator shaft has reached a height where it can be waterproofed, the builder installs a deflection crash deck. Below it a second crash deck is installed in line with the jump plan when the shaft has raised a sufficient number of floors (regularly 7th) for the KONE jump lift to move up. Cabin has a maximum speed of 4 m / s (JumpLift 2.0), and its capacity is 3 times higher compared with the Exterior Hoist. With the growth of the building KONE JumpLift also rises and already serves the entire building.
