Safari in Argentine Style

Recently, more and more architects suggest using the skyscrapers not quite standard way. They house in such buildings the gardens, farms for breeding animals or zoos. Our magazine has already written on one of these projects, and today we present another version of an extraordinary use of high-rise building. Project authors - the Influx_Studio architects offer some kind of highrise Safari in Argentine.

Their latest proposal ’Vertical Safari’ consists of a crazy plan that launches the traditional zoo far into the future. For reference, in modern terminology, a Safari is not just hunting, but the adventure trip with a view to see the exotic wildlife. The project was inspired by wildlife safaris in which visitors drive around to free-roaming animals – except it takes the concept to its vertical limit. The proposal seeks to contribute to the redefinition of zoo’s archetype giving it a new urban function and adding an unexpected bonus to the vertical condition, demanded by the competition’s guidelines: an observation wheel to create an exiting city sightseeing safari over Buenos Aires’s skyline.
