Super Tower for Thai Capital
Developer G Land has revealed details of a new high-rise tower planned for Rama IX Road in Bangkok. The 125-storey tower is due to rise in the city’s latest Central Business District and will offer the first 24-hour office facilities in Bangkok.
This glossy form is the latest in a wave of new construction projects across the city and G Land has looked to rise ahead of the competition – literally – by pitching a tower that reaches 615m in height. If realized, this would make the so-called ‘Super Tower’ the tallest building in Bangkok.
Details of the design are few and far between at this point in time, however the developer has revealed that the project will include an open-air multipurpose plaza above modern conference facilities, plus retail arcades set within a low-rise building flanking the main tower.
A six star hotel is also on the cards, as is a range of dining venues and an enclosed observation deck. The team will aim for LEED Platinum certification.
