Stained-Glass Panels TP-50300

Stained-Glass Panels TP-50300

(Issue of a magazine 1/2015, page 90)

The most popular solution in facades glazing of the buildings is the usage of stained-glass type of TP -50300. The wide range of profiles and accessories allows embodying almost any architectural design with the usage of glass and aluminium. High references of operating parameters of TP -50300 are confirmed by the results of the full cycle of in-place tests (heat transmission resistance, humidity permeability, air permeance, soundproof and wind resistance) made by TATPROF in 2014.

Wind-Tunnel Testing of High-Rise Buildings and Structures

In recent years, there is a persistent surge in construction of unique objects of high complexity: huge clusteres of high-rise buildings, stadiums and largespan bridges. The main principle to construct such architectural masterpieces is to thoroughly consider all environmental factors that may influence the structures during their operation. The international and Russian construction regulations stated that one of the main factors is the aerodynamic load, for which correct assessment should be carried out simulation modelings in specialized wind tunnels.

The factor of wind impact is crucial when validating the safety and comfort of future and already operating unique high-rise and long-span buildings and structures of modern architectural forms and original design solutions. According to the estimates of Japanese experts, for buildings over 200m high wind (corresponding to VI wind region of Russian Federation) is more dangerous for the general strength than a 9-magnitude earthquake, and in the Moscow region wind loads on buildings over 75m high may exceed the designed 5-grade impact.

A wind is one of the factors that require attention during the design of unique buildings and structures, building of complex architectural forms. However, the current Russian and foreign building codes do not contain recommendations for the aerodynamic coefficients assignment for the determination of the calculated wind loads on structures for such buildings and prescribe in these cases using the results of tests in specialized wind tunnels.

Comprehensive Analysis of Facade Translucent Structures

Comprehensive Analysis of Facade Translucent Structures

(Issue of a magazine 1/2015, page 114)

The NIISF RAASN “Facades SEC” Test Center regularly runs laboratory studies on facade structures in terms of their thermotechnical characteristics, air and water permeability, wind load resistance, and sound insulation properties. Throughout the years passed since the test center was founded, it has gained great experience in full-scale and laboratory tests, examination, participation in technical support during design and installation of this class of structures. Surely, the above mentioned activities do not cover all performance properties of translucent facade structures; but even this part provides a lot of information on the possibility of reference to a certain technical solution. Let us discuss the main matters experts in the field usually face.

Each brand has its own beautiful legend. Decon is no exception either. The name of this company is consonant with the name of Italian master Andrea Deconironni, who is said to have worked together with famous Rastrelli to create Annenhof Palace in Lefortovo Park, and fell in love with the unique beauty of Moscow churches and tower-chambers and took a trip to the Russian North to explore the skills of local architects. The Italian was deeply impressed by the wooden fortresses, which demonstrate amazing features of this natural material. Upon his return to Italy he built a wooden church, and in his sketches one could easily see traces of the Russian style...

One of the nowadays priority directions of science and technology in Russia and the world is a more efficient use of thermal energy. The matter of transition to a reasonable consumption of energy sources and energy independence as the priority in countries policy has become so obvious that argue with this fact is just meaningless. Our country’s position on this issue is reflected in the Federal Law № 261-FL “About energy conservation and improving energy efficiency and amendments being made to certain legislative acts of the RF ”, adopted in 2009 year.

(Issue of a magazine 5/2014, page 114)

The Iset Tower is a 52-storey skyscraper in the Yekaterinburg-City business district. The engineering proposal of the project was developed in conjunction with the client and technicians from PERI-Russia and PERI-Germany. The walls of the core were designed separately of the ceilings, the walls reinforcement was carried out from the platforms at level +1, while the formwork located on the ground level not hinder the process. To guarantee the safe working mode the platform level +1 was provided with a high security fence along the contour.

The vast majority of accidents of buildings and structures regardless of final breakdown aftereffects start with local damages of load-bearing structures. Herewith in some cases everything is ended in original local destructions, and in others – supporting structures, which were saved at the first moment of the accident do not withstand additional loading, which earlier was taken by damaged elements, and also crack. Accidents of the latter type got a name in literature “progressive breaking down”.
