Last October was started construction works on the first objects of the Galaxy Yabao Hi-Tech Enterprises Park. Galaxy Yabao Hi-Tech Enterprises Headquarter Park is close to the central zone of Futian District, Shenzhen China. The Gross site area is about 65 ha; and the GFA is over 1,050,000 sqm, consisting of 18 high-rise towers ranging from 100-300 meters tall, a 5 star hotel, 3 service apartment towers, 3 residential towers, a shopping mall and a 32 ha park. Developer of the new district is the privately owned real estate Galaxy Group. The project was designed by international architectural studio 10 Design.

Sky Habitat condo – the new Iconic Development in Bishan. Located in the heart of Bishan Central, one of Singapore’s choice residential areas, Sky Habitat Condo is set to transform the urban landscape in Bishan. This magnificent condominium at Bishan Central will comprise 509 apartments spread over two 38-storey towers, linked by two bridging sky gardens and a sky pool. Designed by renowned international architect Moshe Safdie whose accomplishment ranges numerous renowned International projects like Lester B Pearson International Airport in Canada and local iconic projects like Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort.

The skyscraper built in Sydney by the project of German based Ingenhoven Architects and Australian architectural studio Architectus dubbed after its address 1 Bligh Street was named the best tall building in Asia and Australasia region, according to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat’s (CTBUH ). 154.4-meterhigh tower is located in the city center, in front of a prestigious Farrer Place building, giving additional attraction value to this area. Before the building one can see partly landscaped small pedestrian area, and two lower floors of a skyscraper, where situated cafes, shops and a kindergarten are are given for the citywide needs.

Recently a well-known French fashion designer presented to the public an unexpected work – an architectural project. A glass skyscraper meant as a present for Venice is called Palais Lumiere. The project caused some controversy. Some Venetians think that the building is too big and doesn’t conform to the unified architectural style of the city. Our readers noticed that the eminent couturier’s work resembles the project designed by ISTOK stroi called “Dragonfly”…

Today, for the effective development of urban space exists tendency to set up a high-density highrise complexes, focused on large passenger stations. This structure acts as a self-contained city within the city. By placing high-density building in conveniently location near the cross-station area, rises pedestrian traffic efficiency and reduces automobile traffic flows, in turn, contributes to solving the traffic congestion problem and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. One of the leading architects from reputed OMA - Rem Koolhaas has designed the telecoms company Tencent headquarters’ project to tender for Mansion Binhai area development in Shenzhen. A lot of futuristic projects were presented in the Taiwan Tower Competition aimed to create a towersymbol of the city; among others the Austrian architectural studio Some developed and offered the complex Multiple Natures – Fibrous Тower. The original structure took second place but it still deserves our attention. The construction unites an observation tower and urban museum. Exteriors and interiors of the complex are adapted to weather conditions by ultra-modern systems, mechanism and materials.

Neutelings Riedijk Architects has made a design for a 180 m high office tower, ‘Le Cinq’ in Paris, commissioned by Brussels developer Buelens NV as one out of four teams for the international competition organized by the City of Paris. The results of this competition were presented on show in an exhibition in the Pavillon de l’Arsenal in Paris from July 2nd until August 20th.

Korean developer DreamHub has started building a new largescaled development in Seoul - Yongsan International Business District (YIBD). The plan is striking in its ambitiousness. The overall project, Yongsan International Business District (YIBD), is a new district in Seoul which is to be built over an old rail yard. The development contains more then three million sq.m of operable space and buildings designed by 18 international architects from all around the world.

Another residential tower in the Yongsan International Business District designed by BIG revitalize the Han riverfront into a new commercial and residential center for the citizens of Seoul. Since in this location is not permitted to erect too high-rise buildings, the architects have found another way of increasing the floor space of equal area at the base. They offered to staple the two towers by two additional horizontal blocks (bars), resulting in the structure began to resemble the form of a symbol of “# “.
